Hey.
Fun fact.
Christ is Risen

Viva Cristo Rey
…I don’t know what to write.
I wanted to tell you how central this week is to my faith, but funnily enough, there haven’t been much activity in my church because of it. Granted, it’s very likely that every celebration will be held this sunday and (hopefully) we’ll at least have Communion.
Have you considered Christ yet?
It’s free. There are many benefits to joining Christianity, including:
- Lack of any works that you need to do to be considered “good enough”1
- Eternal life
- Renewal of your self to a person capable of true love
- Acess to CostCo cookies at a low cost
What have I been actually doing?
So onto the topic at hand. Given that my university has 2 weeks of spring break planned, what have I done during it’s first six days?
Soap entrepreneurships
First, I’m helping my mom with her soap business as the unnoficial paperwork department. You see, she decided to open a soap business about two months ago, and as the Guy with the Computer™️I’m in charge of handling everything related to printing and stationery. Here’s an example of some of my work:

One of the cards for gifting. This one has part of Jeremiah 31: 3 in spanish. Social media has been edited out because of privacy.
The image above is a card that’s supposed to be the background for a heart-shaped soap, and it will be gifted along every purchase.
And apparently she signed up for a entrepreneur event organized by our town to help small business like her’s to gain attraction. The event will happen in two weeks from now, so she’s been making soaps of all kinds non-stop. Other activities I’ve helped with are either related to packaging or stationery.
Digital Electronics
Second, my digital eletronics professor gave us the next two laboratory practices so we have something to do during our break. I split half of the circuits with my teammate, so that we only have to three circuits each.
So far I’ve completed all of them, though I’ll redo the second one since it is currently a mess of wires that cannot be changed if necessary. Oh yeah I forgot to mention, I have no way to tests these circuits since my classmate has both the power source and counter we use to test these. He’s also in charge of soldering the counter circuit into a PCB I designed, because our professor wants us to use a PCB for the rest of our practices.
I hope he gives me the circuit diagrams he did before our break ends.
Learning about Romans
Third, I’ve been slowing chipping away at Mike Winger’s series on the book of Romans, and I’m currently on chapter 7:
The first videos have been really helpful in understand why we need Christ, and it all stems from the disconnect between people having a moral duty to do good, and not being able to fullfill it. In short:
- The fact you know about good and evil means you know you when you do sin, even with a flawed morality.
- If you’re a jew, then the law shows you can’t be perfect either, because a) it shows a glimpse in to what God considers good and b) breaking a single commandment means breaking all the law
- The severity of sin is such, that the only fair way to pay for such a crime is death. No other acts can “pay” these infractions.
- Therefore, a man cannot pay his way to salvation with his own will. Someone needs to pay his infractions.
I do need to read Romans again for all of this to stay inside my brain.
Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour yet?
I think that’s everything I wanted to write about. Good night. Happy Easter I guess.

Think carefully about your moral standard and evaluate deeply if you actually keep it. You don’t. ↩︎
